Candlelight Christmas Eve Service 5:00 PM

Even as I write this, it is incredible to believe that the end of the year is upon us! Where did the time go? Soon, we’ll be saying farewell to 2024 and ushering in new month and new year.

Before doing this, however, our church will gather on Christmas Eve to celebrate the birth of our Savior, Jesus Christ. It is without question a spiritual highpoint for us as a people and brings us together as a family of faith.

We will enjoy the sacred and familiar carols, music from Dogwood Strings Quartet, communion, and the passing of the light as we sing “Silent Night, Holy Night.”

There’s not much glamour or glitter with this service, only the culmination of the Advent journey with the lighting of the Christ candle. It is in this stillness that we find meaning once again. I look forward to our time together and invite others in our community to join us.

Finally, I want to thank our people for allowing to serve the Lord with them as their Pastor. It has been a challenging yet meaningful year, and through it all the Lord has been faithful. It is privilege to be part of this family of faith and the town of Clinton.

On behalf of Lori, Cally, Lucy, and Matt, Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!–DC
