16 Dec Jason Taylor transitions to New Ministry Focus

For our First Baptist Church family of faith, Jason Taylor is a fixture and an important part of many significant moments in the life of our church. He’s served as Minister of Students for the past seven years. He’s been part of countless youth trips, events, Bible studies, ball games, graduations, and other special events (including this Christmas party). Jason has made a wonderful impression on the students in our church and community.

Now he’s moving into a new leadership post among us. Effective January 1, 2022, Jason will become the Minister of Young Adults and FLC Ministries. He will succeed Lisa Yates who is retiring after 25 years in this position.

I’m grateful for Jason’s work with students; for more than two decades he’s interacted with them and their parents. He has been and remains an important part of their lives.

I’m looking forward to his moving into this new position. He’s already begun working toward establishing a college and career LifeGroup in our church family. It’s a challenging work, but one that he embraces and is well-suited for.

We’ll be praying for for this important work involving college students and the ongoing impact of our Family Life Center. I believe this move is providential and that he will continue making a great impact for the Kingdom in his new leadership capacity–DC
